area
Area is the inside of a shape, how you find it is you have to multiply the length times the width, which are called the dimensions. (If you need help on multiplication go to are other page, multiplication and division).
perimeter
Perimeter is the outside of the shape, or the border of the shape. How you find it is you add up the dimensions of the shape, or you can count how many sides there are, then multiply that by the measurement of each side, but only if each side is congruent. (If you don't know what some of those words mean, visit the geometry page).
