multiplication
Multiplication is repeating one number the number of times the other number is. It is the exact opposite of division. A multiple is if you keep counting by a number, all of the numbers you land on are multiples of that first number. A factor is the opposite.

Division is the opposite of multiplication. You look at the number and try to know how much the other number goes into it. (If you know your multiplication facts well then then you also know your division facts well). Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are called operations
